Students from the Informatics (IT) and Information Systems (IS) programs at President University Pekanbaru carried out a social initiative by raising donations for Sumatra during Car Free Day (CFD). The activity took place in a public space and received a positive response from the community.
This social action was mentored by PUMA IT and PUMA IS, which provided guidance and support in strengthening students’ leadership values and social awareness. The students engaged directly with the public, invited voluntary donations, and distributed drinking water as a form of social care.
The activity aimed to foster empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility among students. Community enthusiasm was evident through active participation and positive interactions throughout the event.
Through this initiative, President University Pekanbaru hopes to continue encouraging students to actively contribute to social activities and become agents of positive change in society.
